Quick Start

Connect your inFakt account to Claude and ChatGPT in one click, or set up the MCP server in Cursor, Claude Code or another MCP-compatible assistant.

Claude and ChatGPT (recommended)

The fastest way to connect inFakt to Claude or ChatGPT is the inFakt connector, with no configuration files to edit.

Claude

1. Open the connector directory - click Add to Claude or, in Claude (web, desktop or mobile), go to Customize → Connectors and search for inFakt.
2. Click "Connect" - choose the inFakt connector and click "Connect".
3. Sign in to inFakt - sign in to your inFakt account and approve access. Done - you can ask about your business.

ChatGPT

1. Open the inFakt plugin in ChatGPT - click Add to ChatGPT or, in ChatGPT, go to Settings → Plugins and search for inFakt.
2. Click "Connect" - choose the inFakt plugin and connect it to your account.
3. Sign in to inFakt - sign in to your inFakt account and approve access. Done - you can ask about your business.

Other MCP clients (Cursor, Claude Code and more)

1. Open the MCP configuration file for your AI assistant.
2. Add the InFakt server entry:

1. Save the configuration.
2. Restart your AI assistant so it reloads the MCP servers.

Authorize with OAuth

This connector uses OAuth 2.1 to securely connect to your InFakt account without sharing your password with the AI assistant.

How the OAuth flow works

1. Ask a question that requires access to your InFakt data.
2. Your assistant opens the InFakt authorization screen in the browser.
3. Sign in with your InFakt account.
4. Review the requested permissions and approve the connection.
5. Return to your assistant and repeat the request.

What to expect during authorization

• Read-only tools request read scopes such as invoices, costs, or account access.
• Write actions still require explicit confirmation in the assistant.
• You can revoke access later from your InFakt settings.

🔒 Your data remains secure - Claude only accesses your accounting data when you explicitly ask questions about it.

Test the connection

After connecting your account, ask one of these test questions:

Do you have access to my InFakt account?

Show me my invoices from the last month

If everything works correctly, Claude will display a list of your invoices from the InFakt system.

What You Can Do

After successful setup you can:

• Browse invoices - "Show me unpaid invoices"
• Manage clients - "Find all my clients from Warsaw"
• Track expenses - "What were my expenses in December?"
• Check VAT reports - "Show me my JPK files for this year"
• Create invoices - "Create an invoice for 500 PLN for consulting services"
