Frequently asked questions about InFakt MCP Server.

General

What is MCP?

Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that enables AI assistants to connect with external data sources. InFakt MCP Server implements this protocol so your AI assistant can securely communicate with the InFakt API.

Do I need an InFakt account?

Yes. InFakt MCP Server requires an active account in the InFakt system. Connection is made via OAuth 2.1, so you need to log in with your InFakt credentials.

Is it free?

Yes. Access to InFakt MCP Server is free for all InFakt users.

How do I authorize with OAuth?

1. Connect the InFakt MCP Server in your assistant.
2. Ask a question that needs access to your invoices, clients, or other accounting data.
3. A browser window opens with the InFakt sign-in and consent screen.
4. Sign in and approve the requested permissions.
5. Return to your assistant and repeat the request.

If the window does not open, check your browser pop-up settings or try again in a private window.

Security

Is my data secure?

Yes. We implement enterprise-grade security:

• OAuth 2.1 - you don't need to share your password
• TLS encryption - all communication is encrypted
• Tokens encrypted at rest - Fernet encryption
• Multi-tenant isolation - complete separation between users
• Automatic cleanup - 300-second TTL for session data

Can the AI assistant modify my data?

By default, most operations are read-only. Write operations (creating invoices, clients, products) require explicit user confirmation - nothing is created or modified without your approval.

How can I revoke access?

To revoke AI assistant access to your account, contact us at support@infakt.pl or disconnect the connector in your MCP client settings.

Functionality

What invoice types can I create?

You can create the following invoice types through the MCP Server:

• VAT
• Corrective
• OSS
• Similar (copy of an existing invoice)

Can I export data?

Yes, you can ask your AI assistant to prepare data in various formats - summaries, lists, and reports based on your data.

Do you support JPK?

Yes. You can view JPK_V7M (Polish SAF-T) files, check submission statuses, and billing periods.

Technical

Do I need to install anything?

No, if you use Claude or ChatGPT - add the inFakt connector from the directory (ChatGPT, Claude). For other MCP clients, such as Cursor, use the manual configuration described in Quick Start.

Does it work on mobile devices?

Yes, as long as you use an AI assistant through a browser or app with MCP support.

How many tools are available?

The server provides 40+ tools including:

• 28 read-only tools (including 4 meta tools)
• 9 write tools (with confirmation)
• 1 utility tool
